Ketra ‘floors’ The Competition With Online Retail Contract

  • 30th Mar 2023

Palletways member, Ketra Logistics (Linked Logistics), has invested in a new liveried trailer for valued customer Flooring Supplies, one of the UK’s leading online flooring specialists.

The dual-branded, double-deck trailer was revealed to the Flooring Supplies team at its warehouse operation in Purfleet.  Ketra is a member of Palletways UK’s express palletised freight network and has worked in partnership with Flooring Supplies for two years, although the company has been a Palletways customer for more than 19 years.

The flooring specialist relies on Ketra to support its continued expansion through a timely and efficient pallet delivery service. Much of its order base is for home delivery where time and proof of delivery are crucial, so Ketra uses Palletways’ Estimated Time of Arrival system to guarantee customer satisfaction. Ketra delivers some 10,000 pallets of flooring goods each year to customers the length and breadth of the country.

Ketra wanted to reflect on its relationship with the company and cement it for the future, as Martyn Young, managing director of Ketra (Linked Logistics), says: “We work closely with the Flooring Supplies team; it’s a true partnership in every sense of the word. The trailer, liveried with its popular branding, clearly demonstrates the association visually and helps to promote the business as we support them throughout the UK with pallet services.

“We handle daily multiple pallet pickups and deliveries for Flooring Supplies, and we work together to identify ways of adding new levels of efficiency to its service all the time and to fulfil even faster order turnaround times as it’s important to get it right first time, every time.”

Steven Tidy, Customer Service Manager for Flooring Supplies, adds: “As we grow our business it’s important to have a reliable pallet distributor to keep up with growing demand and support us in our service delivery. Our long-standing relationship with Palletways and Ketra is based on the team’s understanding of our business needs and those of our customers. This results in consistent delivery and a great service.”

FlooringSupplies.co.uk was the UK’s first online flooring retailer, hitting the internet way back in 1998. It stocks over 1000 floors from industry-leading brands as well as its own brand Nätura.

Ketra is one of over 120 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network, belonging to Imperial, a DP World company.
